The Schumalith 88033400 element is built from ceramically bonded silicon-carbide media engineered for high-temperature applications and rapid temperature swings. The robust matrix provides high mechanical strength along with excellent resistance to acids, saline solutions, and organic solvents, supporting reliable service in harsh environments. Typical uses include hot gas particle removal, gas analysis sampling, and particle filtration in liquids where thermal resistance and stable porosity are essential. Schumalith media is designed for filtration of hot fluids with fast temperature changes and is resistant up to pH 10 in the alkaline range, though it is not resistant to hydrofluoric acid. This combination of strength, chemical compatibility, and thermal shock tolerance helps maintain consistent differential pressure behavior and dependable clarity across demanding operating cycles.
